  Mounting
Airflow Skateboards are designed for speed and carving. Therefore the tuning of the trucks is especially important. In the most cases the board has to be adjusted according to weight, carving abilities and carving demands of the rider.

Truck

The hardness of the truck can be regulated with the kingping nut. The more the two bushings are pressed together the more rigid is the truck, the more power is demanded to initiate a turn by shifting the center of gravity. Airflow provides exclusively the good old Tracker B2 in a Slalom version with 90, 110 and 129mm wide Hanger and extra soft bushings. For the enthusiast even with blue hanger.

Riserpads
Riserpads have to be used between truck and board in order to prevent the board touching the wheels . There are parallel ones and wedge shaped ones . With the angle of the riserpad we can influence the angle of the truck to the board respectively to the ground. This changes the turning character of the truck considerably.

A)
Front truck agile - back truck agile:
Excellent agility, low speed stability, suitable in the city on narrow, slopy streets where small turns are requested, in races especially boarder x when the course is too fast and you have to slow down by passive turns.

B) Front truck agile - back truck inert:
Good agility, good speed stability, for freeride, higher speed and for competitions, especially for Slalom, giant Slalom where it is important to remain agile and to ride the shortest trace as possible.

C) Front truck inert - back truck inert:
Excellent speed stability, low agility. For high speed on straight or slightly curved streets. This position is not to recommend for general use.

Wheels
Generally, if the surface is fine and smooth, that the harder the wheels the faster the board. On the other hand the softer the wheel the better is the contact and grip and the easier you can ride over small obstacles as little stones, rough surface and flat sidewalk edges. The choice of the wheels is always a compromise between ground contact and speed. For the allround use we recommend wheels with a diameter of 65 to 70 cm with a hardness of 78 shore. These wheels are relatively fast and are still grippy . Airflow offers high quality allround wheels 78 shore 65mm in transparent, transparent blue and black.

Bearings
There are closed and open bearings. The closed ones have slightly more friction, but dirt can easily get inside. The open ones are faster than the closed ones but are less protected against dirt and humidity. According to the use the bearings are lubricated with oil or grease. Bearings with oil as lubricant are faster but it has to be replaced all the time because the oil is more liquid than the grease. Bearings lubricated with grease are not that fast but they need less maintaining
and therefore they live longer. A grease lubricated Abec 5 bearing is in the most cases the best compromise for a demanding daily use.

Spacer

If you use spacer between the bearings, it is much easier to mount the wheels and adjust them optimally. Spacer avoid that the bearings will be pressed together and slow down your wheels, when you tighten the nuts. The size of the spacer is related to the thickness of the wheel core.

Maintenance

The lifetime of your skateboard can be increased, by not using your skateboard in the rain and above all by avoiding leaving it in humid places for a long period. If it is needed, dry your board and the bearings up with a towel and grease the bearings.
