 Race recap by Ramón Königshausen

Above you the the semi finals (f.r.t.l. Patrick Switzer (CAN), Christoph Batt (SUI), Sebastian Hertler (GER), Ramón Königshausen (SUI)). Patrick got the lead up to the first brake point, through the right hand sweeper and throughout the first left hand hairpin. As we\'re coming up to the first right hand hairpin we\'re next to each other.

Patrick throws a heel side speed-check, I footbrake next to him and get behind him for the hairpin. Batt and Hertler still behind us. But then Pat throws an unexpected toe-side speed-check cause he was still going too fast. Unfortunately after his second speed-check he\'s going remarkably slower than I am. As a consequence I\'m getting closer and closer to him until I cant avoid a crash. BAM! and Batt and Hertler sail by. Pat\'s confused as he gets up. He first runs for my board but then realised it wasn\'t his...guess we\'ll race in the consi...

Consolation Final

f.l.t.r..: Patrick Switzer (CAN), Jakob Raab (GER), Fredrik Lindström (SWE), Ramón Königshausen (SUI)

Same goes for this start: Pat\'s in first, I get right behind him. As we\'re getting closer to the braking point out of the corner of my eye I see Frederik closing in and as I throw my foot down he shoots right past me, no footbraking, no predrift, nothing. BAM! He ends up in the hay. We cruise by, Jakob close behind me.

Throughout the hairpins our positions remain the same but I\'m slowly closing in on Pat and gain distance to Jakob. As we exit from the last hairpin I can carry a lot of exit speed so that I have no choice other to pass Pat at the beginning of the long straight hoping he wouldn\'t catch up anymore. But as I get closer to the last right hand sweeper he passes me and stays in the lead up to the finishline. Fifth for him, sixth for me!
